Changes in the Rules and Regulations
The call for submissions of nominees for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2018 has already gone out.
The Deutscher Zukunftspreis is not an award that is applied for. A project, as anchored in the statutes, must be nominated by one of the institutions entitled to propose worthy candidates. Every researcher and developer team, however, is free to draw the attention of the institutions entitled to propose candidates to innovations.
With the start of the call for submissions for the year 2018, the Deutscher Zukunftspreis statutes are changing. Given the rapid changes in the working world thanks to digitization, the Board of Trustees has decided, in addition to innovations in science and technology, to also consider software and algorithm-based proposals from the IT sector for the award.
