Federal President Christian Wulff to continue activities for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis

Federal President Christian Wulff is to continue the tradition of the Deutscher Zukunftspreis. To promote technology and innovations in Germany, President Wulff will continue to award the Deutscher Zukunftspreis. The prize has been conferred annually since 1997 to researchers and developers whose inventions culminate in practicable and thus marketable products. The prize is endowed with Euro 250,000.

Reutlingen with new semiconductor manufacturing:
With a total investment of about 550 million, it will create 800 jobs for Bosch employees.

On Thursday, March 18, 2010 Federal President Horst Köhler visited the prizewinners of the German Future Prize in Reutlingen and then inaugurated the new Robert Bosch GmbH semi-conductor production facility.

In the Max-Taut auditorium in Berlin this evening, German Federal President Horst Köhler awarded the ‘Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2009‘, the president’s prize for achievements in technology and innovation, to Dr. med. Frank Misselwitz, Dr. med. Dagmar Kubitza and Dr. rer. nat. Elisabeth Perzborn. The prize is endowed with Euro 250,000.

Down to the wire: Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2009 to be awarded in just a few more days

It will just be a few more days: on the evening of December 2, Federal President Horst Köhler will announce the winner of the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2009, the President’s Award for Innovation in Science and Technology. The awards ceremony will take place as part of a gala event at the Max-Taut-Aula in Berlin.

On November 19, German President Horst Köhler opened the “New Technologies Center”

On November 19, German President Horst Köhler opened the “New Technologies Center”, a new interdisciplinary exhibition at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. On his tour, President Köhler first visited the exhibition devoted to the Deutscher Zukunftspreis, the president’s award for innovation in science and technology, permanently housed at the Deutsches Museum since December 2006.
